While The Crew takes a bit of a break, many of its members are involved in the Melbourne Fringe Festival; check out the shows listed below:

• Ben McKenzie, Dan Walmsley and Karin Muiznieks star in their own improvised music show, Set List, for three shows only, Saturday afternoons at the Old Council Chambers, Trades Hall - that’s September 27, October 4 and October 11. Andy McClelland will also make a guest appearance.
• The Hounds - Rob Lloyd, Adam McKenzie and Tegan Higginbotham - return with their third show, The Last Bucket of Water. Opens this Friday, September 26, and runs Tuesday to Sunday at the Rehearsal Room, North Melbourne Town Hall, until October 11.
• Karin Muiznieks also stars in a return season of her Comedy Festival smash hit musical, Give My Regards to Broady at the New Ballroom, Trades Hall, from October 7 to 12.
• Andy McClelland performs an updated version of his classic hit Andrew McClelland’s Somewhat Accurate History Of Pirates (1550-2017) in the Main Theatre of the Lithuanian Club for two nights only - this Friday and Saturday, September 26 and 27.
• Ben Lomas and Evan Jones, two thirds of the Department of Humour Services, present their new show, 10 Steps to Deportation, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from September 26 to October 11.
• Ben McKenzie, Andy McClelland, Karin Muiznieks and Dan Walmsley will be among the performers for the 2008 AFL Season Review hosted by Nick Caddaye and Yianni Agislau at Trades Hall on Tuesday, September 30.

As we gear up for our first show at the Bella Union, The Crew are pleased to announce the line-ups for our first four shows in the new venue, in July and August. As always, you can find the dates and players on our Line-Ups page; just click the link above!

Thanks to everyone who came along to our last gig at Bar Open; we really rocked the place! But don’t be afraid, for this isn’t the end of Impro Sundae. As announced on Sunday, The Crew’s regular Sunday show is moving to a new home at the Bella Union Bar at Trades Hall! Melbourne’s hottest new venue, the Bella Union is the centrepiece of Comedy @ Trades and is also host to the monthly sketch comedy show The Anarchist Guild Social Committee.

Impro Sundae starts up at the Bella Union on July 13; expect a full line-up and further details in the coming week.

Our Artistic Director, Janelle Koenig, is heading off overseas in the pursuit of life, love and happiness, and so this week will be her last performance with The Crew for the forseeable future! If you’ve ever enjoyed her particular brand of not-as-innocent-as-she-looks ribaldry, then make sure you come down to Impro Sundae this Sunday, June 8, to give her the send off she deserves.

There have been a few alterations to Sunday’s line-up; Ben McKenzie will host so that you can all enjoy Janelle’s l33t impr0 skillz, and Rob Lloyd will be replaces Vanessa Bennett. Should be huge!

Also note that, due to a change in Bar Open’s Sunday programme, our Impro Sundae shows for June will be the last performed at the venue. We’d like to thank Bar Open for being our home these last six months or so, and will be announcing our new schedule and performance venue in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for details!

After a Comedy Festival hiatus, the Crew’s fortnightly show returns to Bar Open on Sunday, April 27. Put it in your diaries now!
